The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said: “The journey was pre-planned. It was the duty of the authorities of the state to ensure it was checked. This was not an unplanned decision. The alternative route for convoys was prepared.”
The Centre said the PM’s entourage departed at Bathinda airport following the DGP advised that the SPG that the road was safe.
“The AG is correct when the AG says that there was no hearing. There was no hearing. The hearing will focus on the disciplinary provisions once the committee looks at where there was a breach. A clear violation of blue book regulations does not warrant a review,” Mehta said. “There was an acknowledged breach in security. Supreme Court to hear PM security breach case today
