In light of the recent rise in Omicron cases all over the world, Google has published a Doodle to highlight how important it is to wear masks while keeping other secure in times of danger. The doodle, animated released on the 17th of January, all characters of Google search engine are seen enjoying after having taken the vaccine. The letters can also be seen wearing masks.
“Get Vaccinated. Wear a mask. Make sure you wear a mask. Lives,” reads the information page on Google Doodle. The doodle is also connected to the search page which directs users to the most recent information on Covi-19 and also provides information of how to locate the closest vaccination center.
According to reports from the last few days, India has recorded 258,089 cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. Up to 8 209 Omicron instances have been reported in the first 24 hours this year, which is an improvement of 6.02 percent over the last day. The positive rate is currently at 19.65 percent.
A total of 157.20 Cr doses were administered to date in the national vaccination drive. But India’s ‘R-value’ is a measure of how quickly Covid-19 is spreading, fell to 2.2 between January 7 and 13.
