9. Fast food breakfast items
Imagine the scene. You’re tired, late for work and have to attend a big meeting without having time to relieve fatigue with a healthy smoothie. Or you actually get to work on time because you have a deadline to meet, but you drank too much last night and you feel hungover.
What will you do? Like many of us in this situation, there’s nothing to do – you have to go to the nearest fast food restaurant and get something from there. Sausage muffins, cheese toast, fries and bacon – you name it, you can find it.
And of course, you will have some time to pick me up. But that will be short-lived, and it might not even get you through the meeting or deadline before you feel the crash is imminent.
Fast food breakfasts are often fried, processed or both and contain high levels of saturated fat and salt, and if we add a large glass of soft drink or juice, they also contain a lot of sugar. . None of these are healthy ways to start the day, and if we make these choices early, we’re more likely to continue making them throughout the day.
